Olivia Jones is a Broadway actress, with credits in musical theatre, film, and television.
Jones was born on July 10, 1978, in Los Angeles, California. She was named after Shakespeare’s character in “Twelfth Night”, as her mother was a theatre aficionado. Somehow, it seemed that Jones was destined to become an actress.
Ever since she was a little girl, Jones showed passion for poetry and art. She used to recite “Duck Tales” quotes, play dress-up, sing, and pretend to be Scrooge McDuck. She enjoyed watching Indiana Jones movies and imagined being in the shoes of Karen Allen.
In high school, her love towards theater and acting raised as she was chosen to play Julia in the adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. That was the moment Jones realized she wanted to star in the most famous Broadway shows.
After high school, Jones decided to pursue her acting career and became a part of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. Soon after, she realized that the Broadway stages were calling her name and she moved to New York to study acting in one of the best drama schools – the Juilliard School.
